Business branding photography

Build the story around your brand with photography and video. I’m a business branding photographer based in Cardiff, South Wales and can visually bring your story alive for your digital channels.

Business branding photography, It’s much more than just headshots

Business branding photography is all about bringing the story to your business or brand and commercial photography for 2022 and onwards is much more than just updating your headshots.

No matter whether you are looking to refresh your headshots or website imagery, I can tailor a bespoke package that will work for you, providing a visual story for your digital channels. Obviously this can (and should) include headshots, but we can also capture much more about what makes your business special. It should focus on the people, your process, what makes you unique, your products, your aftercare, your service team - whatever it is, I provide a complete service that will provide you high quality visual content (photo and video) for your digital channels.

My shoots can include: headshots, corporate reportage portraits (relaxed, and-style), team environments, processes (e.g. training / production), team shots (reportage and traditional), behind the scenes, reels, gifs, video headers for websites, b-roll content for your own productions, video interviews.

Business branding photography - ideal for your websites and social media

Make an impact with your visuals on social media, your website and digital channels

Never has it been more important to update with imagery online. Every post, every update, every ‘story’ - all needs high quality visuals…this is where I can help. I’ll work with you to capture a suite of content for your business to use over the coming weeks and months - allowing your business to better present itself online.

I am based in Cardiff, but works happily throughout the UK and Europe for agencies, brands, organisations and individuals.

What is content production for business?

Business branding photography is all about communicating your business visually. This can be through photo and video (and everything in between). A picture does indeed paint a thousand words, and in today's social-centric world, you need to stand out. This is where I can help - with personally crafted business photography sessions to provide you with high quality visual collateral to help you make an impact.

My approach to business branding photography is three fold:

  1. It's about providing you with content for your social media, showing your people, your process and your passion

  2. It's equally about ensuring that when people land on your digital spaces (whether website, YouTube or Facebook) that you have the visual content to maximise your interest to prospects. We’re not talking pretty pictures for the sake of it - we’re talking personable, real imagery which can shape your story. Plus - a key area that is a barrier for potential customers are ‘questions’ - these can be approached as video content.

  3. Providing those useful collateral that you need to help the business function (i.e. professional headshots / training imagery / etc)

Why should you invest in high quality content?

Up-to-date and high quality imagery

Now more than ever you need to invest in high quality imagery. A lot has changed over the last 2-3 years. Masks, no masks, social distancing, new normal… Your pictures need to be up to date to reflect these changes.

Stay ahead of your competitors

It affects your bottom line. People buy from people and they (and maybe you) are the best asset. In addition, if you can answer the concerns or questions before a client gets in touch - you are in a better position than your competition.

Traffic and value with video

Video can be a powerful tool with your own SEO efforts and will continue to bring you traffic and value.

Typical itinerary and what you can get from this

Business headshots and Location reportage

I offer business headshots and office reportage - this includes capturing some day-to-day interactions by your office team.

Staged reportage (optional) - this can include the management team discussing items in an informal way for more lifestyle portraiture.

I also offer specific social media items - i.e elements that can be used to describe updates / processes etc. This can include FAQ videos and a company video.

Warehouse reportage and Exterior / interior photography / Training

Warehouse reportage - this includes capturing elements from your warehouse and factory areas.

Exterior and interior photography - photographing the building and interesting elements that build your brand's personality.

Training materials - whether this is for marketing or demonstration purposes, high quality imagery can help convey and ensure consistency.

GETTING IN TOUCH

Lets chat

Get in touch, we will work out what you want to achieve and discuss options on how we will fulfil this.

planning & preparation

A detailed itinerary, key shot and video list is developed and agreed on. From here, I can help you consider what you need to do ahead of the shoot (from location tips, to communicating with your staff).

The shoot & Post production

Once the planning has all come together the shoot will take place.

Then comes the post production, where I work on making your images and video shine. The images are digitally transferred - I am also happy to work with your GDPR requirements if online delivery is not an option.

How to prepare for a commercial photoshoot

With each of my sessions, I work with my clients to ensure they are prepared as possible to get the most out of the investment for the business…. I cover:

  1. Get the date in the diary (even if its a month or two ahead!)

  2. Set an itinerary (but allow flexibility, as things don’t always go to plan)

  3. Let people know about the shoot (allow team members to prepare)

  4. Examine your workplace with a new level of scrutiny

  5. Time the brand shoot to coincide with new workwear (if applicable), if not, ensuring fresh hi-viz / aprons / always work well.

  6. Allow time for video (typically it will take a little longer than just photos)

  7. Allow time for post-production and editing of images and video

  8. Plan how images will be shared and to whom within the company and at what point

  9. Decide on a final repository for all your collateral so your whole team can benefit from using the new content.

And more…
