Looking for corporate photography (headshots, teams, workplace lifestyle, events)?
Advertising & campaign photography
Campaign photography needs to perform: stop the scroll, communicate fast, and stay consistent across web, print, OOH and paid social. I’ll help plan the shoot around your idea, audience and channels - refining the concept, building a shot list, choosing location and/or studio, building sets, working with models & creative teams. Delivery can include multiple formats and variations.
Brand lifestyle photography
Brand lifestyle photography shows your product or service in the real world - believable moments, people and environments that feel on-brand (not staged or ‘stock’). We’ll plan scenes around the story you want to tell and capture a mix of hero images, mid-shots and details. The result is a flexible library you can use across your website, social content and campaigns.
Product photography
Product photography can be clean and functional (packshots) or creative and story-led (product-in-use/campaign).
For marketing, we can create more narrative imagery that helps customers imagine ownership. For ecommerce, the priority is consistency: lighting, angles and colour accuracy across ranges. We’ll agree the style and deliverables upfront (eg. white background, cut-outs, styled sets, lifestyle) and deliver files and variations optimised for your platform and channels.
Food and drink Photography
Whether it’s product/campaign focused and shot in a studio or whether its menu content & editorial features to be shot on location, the goal is to make the product look irresistible and true to life. I’ll guide styling considerations, lighting approach and composition. Deliverables can be provided in sets designed for web, menus, delivery platforms, PR and social.
Environmental portraits for brands
These are portraits with a commercial purpose - less ‘corporate headshot’, more ‘brand statement’ and great for campaigns, editorial uses and hero sections of websites. Ideal for founders, creatives, spokespeople and teams who need images that feel confident, modern and aligned to a brand narrative. I help choosing a location and we’ll create a mood board of style, vibe and direction. Make-up, hair and clothing stylists available on request too.
Location and set photography
If your environment is part of the value (hospitality, venues, property, experiences, manufacturing, retail, studios), strong location photography helps people trust what they’re buying before they arrive. I’ll capture wide establishing shots that show the space, along with detail images that add texture and credibility. I also manage licensed drone operatives to provide additional aerial photography.

Commercial photography FAQs
-
Commercial photography is created to help sell, market or promote something - a product, service, campaign or brand message - often with more creative direction and a focus on performance across ads, landing pages and sales materials.
Corporate photography is usually about representation and trust: headshots, team, workplace, events, and internal comms that show who you are. In reality, many businesses need a blend of both. On this page, ‘commercial’ covers anything intended to support marketing outcomes, from brand lifestyle and people-at-work imagery to product and campaign-focused shoots.
-
Commercial photography pricing varies depending on what you need the images to do.
The biggest cost drivers are shoot time, planning complexity (locations, talent, styling), post-production (retouching level), and usage/licensing (where and how long the images will be used). Some shoots are comparatively straightforward (i.e. half a day on location shooting website content) others are campaign-led with more pre-production, specific shot lists, complex scenes (and lighting) and larger post production (editing etc).
I always quote clearly so you know what’s included. If you share your goals, channels and timeline, I’ll recommend the most efficient approach.
-
Typically you can expect: a short discovery call, shoot planning (brief, shot list, priorities), production guidance (locations, timing, who needs to be involved), the shoot itself, and editing/retouching to an agreed level.
You’ll also get a secure online gallery for selection and delivery in formats suited to your channels (web, social, print).
Licensing/usage is either included within a defined scope or listed clearly as part of the quote, depending on the project. The goal is to keep things simple: a clean scope, no surprises, and images that are ready to publish.
-
Yes. Commercial photography should come with clear usage rights so you can publish confidently.
Licensing typically covers where the images will appear (website, organic social, brochures, PR, paid ads), the territory (UK, global), and the duration. Many businesses simply need broad coverage across web, social and marketing materials; others need paid campaign use across specific platforms. I’ll ask a few practical questions about how you plan to use the imagery and then define the rights in plain English within the quote. That keeps everything compliant and straightforward for teams and agencies.
-
I keep planning focused and useful. We start with the outcome: what the images need to achieve and where they’ll be used (website sections, LinkedIn content, campaign ads, pitch decks).
From there we agree a shot list that prioritises the must-haves, plus a few “nice-to-haves” if time allows. I can advise on locations, light, timings, and what each scene needs (props, wardrobe cues, brand colours). For larger shoots, I’ll provide a simple schedule so everyone knows what’s happening and we stay efficient on the day.
-
Absolutely — that’s a common scenario, especially for professional services, startups and B2B teams. Most people aren’t trained models, and they don’t need to be. I’ll guide you with clear, practical direction: where to stand, what to do with hands, how to hold posture, and how to look natural without feeling staged. I work quickly and calmly so the process feels manageable, not awkward. If you have a team shoot, I’ll keep things organised and supportive, and we’ll build variety through small changes in positioning, expression and environment rather than forced “poses.”
-
I shoot commercial imagery that helps businesses communicate clearly and look credible. That includes brand lifestyle photography, products food and drink, founder/team portraits, workplace and interior imagery, product and detail shots and campaign-style photography designed for ads and landing pages.
Sometimes I am part of a larger team, capturing an entire catalogue of clothing and other days I am preparing, planning and shooting all day for a handful of core images for advertising purposes.
-
A typical commercial shoot might be a half-day or full day, depending on how many setups you need, how many people are involved, and whether we’re capturing multiple locations or scene changes. Turnaround depends on the edit level and quantity, but most projects deliver a first gallery for selection quickly, followed by final retouched files within an agreed timeframe. If you have a deadline (launch, campaign start, event), tell me upfront and I’ll build the schedule around it. The aim is always the same: efficient production, consistent quality, and images delivered ready for use.
-
Yes - I regularly work with marketing agencies and in-house teams, either directly or as a behind-the-scenes production partner. I’m comfortable working to brand guidelines, matching an existing visual style, and delivering assets with the formats and filenames your team needs. If you’re running a campaign or managing multiple stakeholders, I can keep the process tidy: clear pre-production, shot list alignment, and consistent outputs. For multi-location projects, I can help plan a repeatable approach so the imagery feels cohesive across offices, teams or regions, while still looking natural and current.
-
Yes. I’m based in Cardiff, South Wales, but I work throughout the UK and beyond and often shooting in London, Bristol, Bath and throughout Wales and West.
Fun fact - the furthest I have been booked to shoot is in Atlanta, Georgia USA.
