Overview

Build your confidence using off-camera flash in this hands-on, 4-hour outdoor photography workshop. You'll learn to light people in real-world locations using a mix of 1, 2 and 3-flash setups, modifiers and creative techniques to bring depth and drama to your portraits. Ideal for anyone with a DSLR or mirrorless camera and a hotshoe, this session is perfect for those wanting to master flash on location - whether to enhance natural light or take control when conditions fall short.

Starting from my South Wales-based studio, we’ll head out for a 4 hour workshop in a range of nearby outdoor locations with a mix of practical, no-nonsense theory (seriously, we’ll keep the jargon to a minimum) and lots of shooting / practical time. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and chat throughout the session.

You don’t need to be a photography expert - ideally you’ll know your way around your camera but this workshop is aimed at beginner to intermediate levels.

This workshop is great for people who want to get better or learn to take location portraits and use flash to add extra depth and help out when the sun isn’t as good as it can be.
