VW garage tour video with Clarke's Automotive in Swadlincote
Sometimes my job / interest / vocation sends me to the most interesting parts of the UK and Europe and is something that I love to do - call it the human interest, no, you can definitely say that I’m nosey! This was a recent visit to Clarke’s Automotive in Swadlincote to meet the main man, Tom (Head Honcho) at this specialist VW garage which painstakingly restores and maintains some classic old school aircooled Volkswagen vehicles. We’re talking beetles, split screens, the odd Porsche and many more.
Whilst there, Tom showed us round and gave us a bit of an impromptu tour - fortunately I had my wireless mics on me and my camera - I got him clipped up and we were ready to roll. In addition I was using my main camera for the tour and my phone for the B-roll (with the aid of my mobile-nimble and an extension pole - I was able to get some swooping, high drone-like images). Once back, I did some quick edits, dropped a soundtrack (Tom likes his music slightly heavier, so a relevant track was chosen) and a great bit of social video content was created.
