5 Most Memorable Places to Shoot
Here's a round up of my five most memorable places that I've shot. They're not necessarily my best work ever but are nontheless shoots that I love, for different reasons and that I will probably remember for a long time to come.
1. Underwater with Charlotte Church / 2013
I remember getting a phone call asking if I would be up for shooting underwater and I was like 'Hell yeah ... i have never before but I'm up for a challenge'. Shot in the Vale of Glamorgan near Ogmore. I remember hoping that the posh-plastic-bag i'd hired to lower my camera into the water was up for the challenge.

2. A Loft Full of Pigeon Sh*t / 2007ish
Still early-days for me shooting ... Myself and Mayor from Associated Minds were shooting Cardiff-based bigbeat/noise makers Staedler & Waldorf. Now, I love grime and decay but this was to a new level. We were shooting in this filthy, pigeon-shit laden loft whilst outside it was bright sunshine!

3. Shooting over 1 Million Pounds worth of Supercars / 2009
Not your average shoot. We were shooting for a new supercar club in Cardiff. Wasn't the best timing for the club in all honesty, was just pre-recession. But hey, was good fun and once again challenged my fear of heights!

4. In the Woods with Masubi / 2012
This was a fun shoot ... shooting for a side project of mine - a spin on the Red Riding Hood theme with Masubi. I remember that we got the intestines out of the box, got in position, hit the timer and then the sound of police helicopter overhead. Would have been an interesting one to explain our way out of!

5. Big Bang Festival Shoot / 2013
I like nothing more than a challenge ... after all its the destination not the journey and all that ... anyhow, we had lined up model and cars to shoot with Hayburner magazine at the Big Bang Festival. It rained, it was windy, it hailed, it was cold, it was sunny all in about 2 hours. But we shot, got some great stuff and we landed the cover of the magazine too which was a bonus. The model, Dakota Hunt was a real trooper through the onslaught of weather! Nothing like the elements and the crowd to test your mettle. What made this shoot so memorable was all the parts, part social, part-focused but all fun. See the full post of final images here.
